I was saved on July 23rd of 2000. For several months prior to that, I had serious doubts regarding my salvation. I stayed up many late nights, arguing with the Holy Spirit, and trying to convince myself that I was saved. July 23rd was a Sunday. My pastor preached a simple message called “What Must I Do to Be Saved?” During that message, I realized for the first time that I was a sinner, and that I was lost, and that I needed a Saviour! I went forward during the invitation, repented of my sin, and placed my faith and trust in Christ.
II. CALL TO PREACH
Shortly after I was saved, I felt burdened with the call to preach. I officially surrendered to preach in May of 2002. I then began training under my pastor, receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Theology in May of 2007. Ever since I began training, I have taken every opportunity that has been available to preach and teach. I filled the pulpit in my pastor’s absence, preached at three nursing homes for about 8 years, taught Sunday School classes, etc…
III. CALL TO SCOTLAND
In July of 2007, the Lord began dealing with me about going to Scotland as a missionary. I spoke to my pastor about it, and he recommended we wait one year and see if this would be confirmed. During the course of that year, I became more convinced than ever that the Lord has indeed called me to Scotland. My family and I have had the privilege of taking tow survey trips to Scotland. During my time in Scotland, the Lord broke my heart for the Scottish people. I look forward to preaching the gospel to them, and instructing them in and through the churches I will establish.
