Home on the Range!

We haven't posted anything for a few weeks on here, because we didn't have much going on!  However, things have picked up for us, and we should be busy for the next several months.  Praise the Lord for a full schedule.  It keeps us out of trouble!  ;)

Last week, we attended the Preaching Conference that Empire Baptist Temple (EBT) in Sioux Falls, SD hosts every year.  The special music was uplifting, and the preaching was very encouraging.  We were able to see many preachers that we have known for many years.

We were also able to spend time with family while we were in Sioux Falls.  My sister and her family are members of EBT.  While we were at the conference, we were able to stay in their home, which was a great blessing!  We were also able visit with my brother-in-law Tim Plemmons and his family.  Tim is a chaplain with the Civil Air Patrol.

After the conference, we followed Tim and his family out to their home in MT.  From Sioux Falls to their home in Montana is almost 1,100 miles.  So, we did a lot of driving!  But we were able to see a lot of neat things along the way including Mount Rushmore (shown on the left) near Rapid City, SD, and several mountain ranges along the way.  It was a long trip, but the stunning scenery kept us occupied.  What a wonderful Creator God we serve!
